Kazuri Yuppie Choker
Kazuri Yuppie Choker
Kazuri means "small and beautiful" in Kiswahili. This Nairobi practice started in 1975 as a two-woman ceramic workshop experimenting with bead making. Decades later, the enterprise trains and employs over 300 single mothers to handcraft unique beads and jewellery with a mission to create a meaningful social impact. As a fair-trade brand, Kazuri provides its employees with fair wages, healthcare, and a healthy working environment.
The Kazuri Yuppie Choker is part of a playful and sophisticated line of handcrafted ceramic bead jewellery made from hand-painted and fired clay. The eye-catching chokers come in a variety of colours that can be dressed up or down. Each features either one centre bead or several beads and can be lengthened or shortened if needed.
